The free trial is 30 days long.

No.

If you’ve signed up for a plan before your free trial ends, your account and any smart share widget you have running will continue uninterrupted.

If you haven’t signed up for a plan by the end of your free trial, users may still be able to share using the smart share button, but access to the publisher dashboard will be paused until you sign up for a plan.

The free trial is only available to new Engage.Social customers.

Engage.Social Smart Share solution has 3 components – Publisher Application, Smart Share widget and Score widget. By signing up for Engage.Social, you will have access to all 3 components.

The Publisher Application is your dashboard to manage, analyze and browse how visitors share content using the solution. This is available as a web application via the website.

There are 3 main parts – Home, Browse and Manage.

The Home page provides access to analytics from your Smart Share widget activity.

The Browse page displays all content shared via the Smart Share widget and the comments made while sharing.

The Manage menu has the links for the different customization options: Manage Users and Manage Widget.

The Share widget is a customizable widget that can be invoked from your website.

The widget consists of 3 tabs – Share, Trending and Analytics.

Share: allows the visitor to share your content across multiple social networks at once

Trending: encourages sharing by recommending other interesting articles to the visitor

Analytics: displays statistics on how the visitor’s posts are doing as well as their influencer ranking among other visitors

The Score widget is a customizable widget that helps get visitors to sign in to your Influencer program.

The Score widget displays a leaderboard of the visitors’ Influencer Score. The Influencer Score is dependent on factors such as the number of shares, number of likes received, etc.

Customizing the Smart Share widget helps personalize it to use your logo, text and images. click on Manage > Widget from the Publisher Application to customize the Smart Share widget.

The welcome screen is the one the visitor lands into when Social Share is first invoked.For the Welcome screen for a new user, provide:

• The URL to your Logo image
• Description which will appear in the visitor’s Welcome screen
• The Social networks that you want to enable

In addition, also provide:

• Title of the widget for your reference
• URL of the website that your widget will be enabled for (widget can only to be used on that website)

You can also customize the ‘help’ text for each tab.

You will need to provide your preferences for:

• The URL to your Logo image
• Displaying full username of visitor
• Maximum number of users to display

• Shares refers to the total number shares made across the different social touchpoints
• Active Subscribers refers to the number of visitors who have shared content during the specified timeframe
• Clicks refers to the number of clicks the content shared are garnering
• Click Rate refers to the average number of clicks garnered by each content shared
• Interactions refers to the number of interactions (includes shares/retweets, favourites/likes, and comments) the content shared are getting

The system uses machine learning to select articles that are popular with other visitors and help engage when shared by other visitors on social media.

The system selects from a pool of engaging articles, so that you have a chance to view different articles each time.

As a Publisher you can choose to feature an already selected article or a page from a website. Featured articles will be included in the mix of Trending articles.

The Browse page of the Publisher Application, will display all the articles that has been shared through your Smart Share widget. You can click on the ‘star’ icon to feature the corresponding article.

You can use the Engage.Social browser plugin to add an article or a web page in the Browse view.

You can find and install the plugin from the ‘Get Browser Plugin’ in the Profile menu.

The Engage.Social browser plugin is only supported on Chrome and Firefox.

The plugin is not supported on Safari, but you can use this bookmarklet* to feature articles when using Safari. Simply open the bookmark from the page you would like to feature for it to work.

*do note that the bookmarklet does not work for all pages

The Browse page, will display all the articles that has been shared through your Share widget. Articles shared with comments will have a blue speech bubble icon accompanying it and you will be able to view the comments.

Yes, you can use the search bar to search for articles within the Visitor Share Content View.

Yes, the order of the content can be sorted using the icons found on the top right corner of the Visitor Share content view.

Yellow star: only featured articles will be displayed

Orange clock: articles will be reorganized to display the latest ones at the top

Blue speech bubble: only articles with comments will be displayed

The Smart Share widget is invoked from your branded ‘Social Influencer’ Share button that you add to the Share button bar on a website page.

The first time a visitor clicks on the Share button, they will need to sign in using one of the enabled social networks – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Pinterest.

Once they have signed in, they will have the option to connect other social profiles, if they so desire. They can do this by clicking on the icon/checkbox of a social network in the Share view or on the Gear icon next to their name. This will bring up the Social-Settings view and allows them to connect other profiles.
